Happening 7th December 2018

The sixth edition of the ASFAs will be held under the theme, “Fashion is Power”. Inspiring a number of sartorial innovations, the theme is poised to spark a new dialogue on the meaning of “African fashion”. The Awards show celebrates and acknowledges stakeholders in the African fashion industry. Creatives cut across 13 categories such as; Designers, Fashion Photographers, Makeup and Hair Stylists, Models, Fashionable Artistes, Music Video and celebrities among others.

What to wear

Dress code

In line with the ASFA 2018 theme, ‘Fashion is Power’, this year’s show will feature a special dress code of “Post-Modernism meets Africanism”.This is because the Awards continue to push for African excellence in a bid to promote the extremely eccentric and colourful fashion scene in Africa with a unique blend of glam, personal and cultural expression. Even if you don’t have a full attire with African print, it’s always a classy touch to add. There will be plenty of press and red-carpet posing opportunities for you to get your own selfie game on so definitely come ready for a night of high flying African fashion.
