But, it doesn’t always have to be fabric simply draped over the body. Kampala design house SKP by Sheba Kassami Pemba knows just how to add oomph to a kaftan. And, that’s all they did with their collection presented at the 2017 Abryanz Style and Fashion Awards.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]Working with luxurious fabrics such as lace and velvet with lots of intricate beading and sequins, the brand managed to present kaftans that screamed everything but basic. The cut and silhouettes were something picked out of a royal design book. My stand out look was a velvet form-fitting dress with dramatic bell sleeves and an off the shoulder neckline. This was until my eyes chanced upon tunics for men.
