Eligibility of Nominees for the Abryanz Style & Fashion Awards.

 

  • All applicants must be African, or holders of dual citizenship or foreign citizens who have been residing and working in Africa for at least 2 years.
  • Eligibility of participants is restricted to people aged 18 and above only.

1.1.0 The Nomination Process of the Abryanz Style & Fashion Awards.

1.1.1 Nomination is open to general public. For example, the person/persons must have greatly contributed to the fashion industry as per the disciplines in the categories from August 2021 to August 2022. The main channel of nomination shall be via email, website and phone.

1.1.2 To apply via email, one is required to send their portfolio consisting of a complete list of projects they’ve worked on done during the period of August 2021 to August 2022. Please state the specific category you’re applying for.

1.1.3 Shortlisted applicants will be required to share information to substantiate the validity of their application and the projects they’ve worked on. This could be photos, videos, press cuttings, magazines and other similar media. All such material provided has to be certified as copyright free.

 

PLEASE NOTE: Images submitted should be professional pictures of 1000pX and above.

1.1.5 These applications will be reviewed by the ASFA board to scrutinize and draw up a final list of nominees.

PLEASE NOTE: The public nomination bid holds a 30% decision will, and the 70% decision will be held by the ASFA Committee panel.

1.1.6 The general public is free to nominate a person of their choice for the categories listed below using the channel/ channels above as long as they are eligible for nomination. Email nomination bids should be sent to nomination@abryanzstyleandfashionawards.com.

1.1.7 Copyright for submitted material.

All material provided can be used by the organizers for future promotion for the event. If this is not possible, written permission from the identified copyright owner/s should be provided, clearly stating that the material can’t be used by the Organizers of the Abryanz Style & Fashion Awards, as part of ongoing promotions of the said event.

If no such forms are presented, we will take it for granted that material shared is copyright free. Although effort will be made to include a courtesy note on all published material, the organizers cannot be held responsible for omissions in this respect. All material is to be provided at the expense of the applicant and is non-returnable. The applicant assumes full responsibility in this respect.

PLEASE NOTE: These are to be used on our website, nominee promotional work, and in the media, for all Abryanz Style & Fashion Awards promotional activities. Poor quality images will not be considered.

 

1.1.8   Information requested by the Organizing Committee has to be shared before the set deadline. Anything shared after that date will not be accepted and will automatically lead to automatic disqualification of the nominee.

2.0.0 The Selection stage.

2.0.1   A selection panel reviews all applications and draws up a short list of applicants who are eligible.

2.0.2 Secondly the penal shall ensure that all short-listed applications are eligible for nomination in their particular award categories. (See: Additional Notes for Each Award Category).

2.0.3 The adjudication panel then chooses the best 4-6 applicants in each award category. Upon agreement, the chosen applicants become the nominees in the particular category for the year.

2.0.4 The adjudication (selection) panel can decide to choose more or less than five nominees depending on the quality of applications received for a particular category.

2.0.5 If there are insufficient applications for a particular award category, the penal can shall will that particular category No award will be presented that year.

2.0.6 Once finalized, the list of nominees is shared with media for publication.

PLEASE NOTE:  Once the list is published, a nominee cannot pull out of the awards.

2.0.7 A selection panel shall bring on board experts/ a consultant at different levels in the process of creating each award category. Each application is given a scoring based on the presented information.

2.0.8 The panel has a 70% stake in the final verdict. The 30% is left for the public vote.

3.0.0 On Stage Presentations.

3.0.1 Nominees of some categories (such as hairstylists and fashion designers) may be required to show case prepare a brief on-stage production or assist in putting up a production to be presented during the final presentation night purely for entertainment and nominee promotional purposes. Models, Choreography, photos, and music must be provided by the nominee. The nominee shall assume all copyright responsibilities for music, graphics, ideas etc. used during their particular show. Also models will be asked to participate in fashion shows during the event and this can be for any type like swimwear, lingerie, elegant etc.  All nominees can be asked to set-up exhibitions for the promotion of the event itself.

PLEASE NOTE:  The above mentioned shall be provided at no cost.

3.0.2 Any choreography, costumes, or any promotions done or provided during the he Abryanz Style & Fashion

Awards cannot be used or presented at any other events, without the written consent of the ASFA Organizing team.

 

4.0.0 Appointment of the ASFA Board and Judging Panel.

4.0.1 The appointments of the Selection Board and Monitoring Board are at the discretion of the ASFA Organizing team.

4.0.2 The panel’s decision at each stage in the adjudication process is final and no contestations will be entertained. All information related to the judging process including the identity of the judges on the panel involved shall be kept strictly confidential throughout the selection process and after.

5.0.0 Press Conferences, Publicity and other Events.

5.0.1 Nominees will be required to attend Press Conferences, media interviews, launch parties, exhibitions and other publicity events held to promote the nominees themselves, the final award presentation night and other events organized during the duration of Abryanz style and fashion awards. These are mainly intended to afford national and continental exposure for the nominees until the final event night

5.0.2 Personal Advertising for Nominees and participants of the Abryanz Style & Fashion Awards

Nominees are required to carry out their own publicity, as guided. This includes advertising, whether paid or not, press releases, interviews, whether in print, audio, or visual, in relation with their nomination. 

5.0.4 All participants including designers, exhibitors, models, makeup artistes, and other service providers will be required to sign a contract prior to the event.

5.0.6 The accolade/award can only be received by the winner of the particular award category. All nominees intending to send representatives to receive the award in case they win should provide written document, stating this 7days prior.

5.0.7 Winners of each award shall use/mention the logo/ name of Abryanz Style & Fashion Awards stating the year they won it, in all their promotional and advertising material, for 90 days commencing a month after.

5.0.8 All participants, exhibitors, nominees, models, who are directly or indirectly involved in any activities of The Abryanz Style & Fashion Awards cannot take part directly or indirectly in any other event, or be a member of any agency or with any third parties, which in some way conflict with The Abryanz Style & Fashion Awards for a duration of 90 days.

6.0.0 NOTES ON THE FINAL PRESENTATION NIGHTS

6.0.1 Nominees / Participants are expected to attend the event. For this purpose, tickets shall be sold at the entrance

6.0.2 All material shared by the nominee/participant should be free of any copyright and may be used to promote the said event or future ones.

6.0.3 Models of hairstylists, fashion designers and makeup artists shall be approved by the Organizing Committee and paid by the nominee or participant.

6.0.4 Music used during the show, shall be the responsibility of the nominee / the sponsor/ participant of that particular fashion show, and should be copyright free.

6.0.5 No prominent names or logos are to appear on outfits of performers on stage. Any infringement of these rules will lead to penalties.

6.0.6 Choreography, costumes and outfits used in the Abryanz Style & Fashion Awards cannot be used and done at any other event whether public or private, without the written consent of The Chairman of the organizing Committee.

6.0.7 Knowing that the whole show is being filmed and transmitted on TV, both locally and internationally, all participants whether models, dancers, singers/musicians, are giving their consent that their images will be filmed or photographed and transmitted and are giving their full consent for this.

6.0.8 Although great care is taken to ensure that these regulations protect the interests of the organizers as well as all participants and sponsors involved, the organizers reserve the right to change these regulations as required.

6.0.9 Applicants submitting the official application form for nomination to Abryanz style and fashion awards, or send similar forms via email and agree to abide by these regulations and any other requirements issued by the organizers.

7.0.0 Disputes / Agreement.

7.0.1 If any disputes arise between the parties, mediation shall be used as the form of reconciliation reached by both parties empowered by law.

7.0.2 Participating in the awards or any other event organized by the Abryanz Style & Fashion Awards means the full acceptance of this contract.

7.0.3 The Awards cover a calendar year from 1st January to 31st December 2022.

8.0.0 GENERAL RULE *

8.0.1 Should you win an award for three consecutive editions of the event, you’ll be deemed ineligible for nomination again.
