ASFA 2022 NOMINATIONS OPEN UNDER 17 CATERGORIES
Today, The Abryanz Style & Fashion Awards (ASFAs) have opened their nominations platforms for this year’s awards. The ASFAs is an African fashion award ceremony that acknowledges and celebrates African fashion industry stakeholders. The “Nomination” process has officially opened today October 1st, 2022. Nominations will start on October 1st and end on 17th October.
“All across Africa, men and women have worked hard and demonstrated exceptional craft in the fashion industry. Much of the good work being done goes unrecognized and is not covered in traditional media, so I am excited because after 2 years the ASFAs will highlight this work, said Brian Ahumuza the CEO of the ASFAs. “I encourage everyone to go and nominate,” he said. Nominations will be accepted through the official website, social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter) and our WhatsApp bot.
The eighth edition of the ASFAs will be held under the theme, “The Awakening”. Inspiring the emergence of a new wave of undisputed African greatness. In line with the ASFA 2022 theme, “The Awakening”, this year’s show will feature fresh categories in all elements from the HONORARY, DESIGNER, FASHION, MUSIC IN FASHION and FASHION PERSONALITIES Award elements.
This year’s nominees and eventual winners are to be selected and vetted based on their representation of African Fashion and representation of this year’s theme. You are free to nominate a fashion personality in the available categories.
For eligibility, one should be; 18 years and above, African or of dual citizenship. Foreigners are only eligible if they have been residing or working in Africa for at least two years. The potential nominee should have been active in the fashion industry from the period of January 2021 to September 2022.

Step 1: Using your active Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and Snapchat page
Step 2: Post a picture of your nominee
Step 3: Caption the post with the Name of your nominee and the category you wish to nominate them for

Step 2: Give a BRIEF about yourself / the person you wish to nominate plus the category you wish to nominate them for
Step 3: Attach a PORTFOLIO / WORK of nominee

A CONFIRMATION OF RECEIPT WILL BE SENT

Step 2: Fill in the nomination form on the website about yourself or the person you would like to nominate under a specific category.
Step 3: Attach the nominee’s work (pictures, links, portfolio) respective to the nomination category.
Step 4: Agree with terms and conditions and submit!

The Abryanz Style and Fashion Awards is an African fashion award ceremony that acknowledges and celebrates African fashion industry stakeholders including fashion designers, models, stylists, hair and makeup artists, media personalities, and influencers on the African Continent and beyond. This event is held annually in Uganda since its inaugural ceremony in 2013.
